Quality Geophysics has employed ground penetrating radar and magnetometers in archaeological investigations, including the location of historical building foundations, fire rings, roadways and similar buried features. Grave site investigation by GPR is a common survey method when the location is approximately known. Magnetometers are frequently used when the location is less certain, and ferrous metallic materials such as buttons, nails, or belt-buckles may be present.
