Time domain electromagnetic (TDEM) surveys can take a variety of forms. In the simplest form, TDEM represents a high sensitivity metal detector. TDEM methods are frequently used to locate utilities, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and buried drums. In more complex forms, the method is used for contaminant investigations and massive sulphide ore deposit surveys.
